Point of View

All About Love is written in third person. Laurens uses the viewpoint of two characters to tell this story. The element of suspense is sometimes added by Lauren's choice of which character's viewpoint the reader follows through a certain event. For example, when Phyllida gets the note from the killer, the reader sees only Lucifer's limited viewpoint. Lucifer feels that something is wrong through the whole event, but doesn't know for sure until he nears the burning building.

The story is told through a mixture of dialog and exposition. At times, the reader may be left wondering about one of the main characters because of the limited view.
