Summary

In Chapter 16, Reece arrives at home and rushes to his mother’s bedside before making any other stops. He is devastated to think about how near she is to death. He has spent the time it took to travel from the Upper Islands thinking about his love for Stara and his pending wedding to Selese, and he is uncertain what he should do. He knows that everyone in the kingdom is anticipating the wedding, a double event in which Gwen will marry Thor and Reece will marry Selese.
