Chipping Cleghorn

Chipping Cleghorn is the small town where the majority of the story takes place. The neighbors know each other a little too well, and they leave their doors open. One paperboy can cover the whole town, and the women read the paper to learn about the current events in their neighbors' lives rather than national current events.

Little Paddocks

Little Paddocks is the home of Miss Blacklock. Also living there are Miss Bunner, Patrick and Julia Simmons, Phillipa Haymes, and Mitzi. It's in Chipping Cleghorn. There are chickens, which contributes to the rural feel of the home.

Dayas Hall

Dayas Hall is a farm in Chipping Cleghorn owned by Mr. and Mrs. Lucas. Phillipa Haymes works here picking apples and lettuce.
