A Dangerous Fortune Characters
Micky Miranda
Micky is a student at the Windfield School. He is from the South American country of Cordova. He is present at the quarry pool when Peter Middleton drowns and concocts a story with Edward to explain the events, setting the stage for what is to follow in the next thirty years. He does not want to go home to Cordova for the summer and manages to swing an invitation to spend the summer with the Pilasters. Edward describes Micky as his soul mate and pays all of the bills for their entertainment. Carlos tells Micky about the nitrate business and that he wants Micky to stay in London, but Micky will have to support himself until they take the nitrate rich lands in Cordova.
When Micky learns of the investigation of David Middleton, he begins to worry and sets out to destroy Tonio, who was a witness...
