In this chapter, Mitch Albom describes "the last class of my old professor's life." He compares this last class to an ordinary college class. The objective of this daily lesson is for the students to recognize the unusual format of the book and make a comparison between the book and a regular class.

Lesson

1) Writing Task: Describe in one paragraph what this unusual class looks like and compare it to a regular college or high school class. What is the normal progress of your classes?

2) Class Discussion: Explain the analogy between Mitch and Morrie's weekly meetings and a college class.

3) Class Discussion: Define the relationship between Mitch and Morrie.

4) Homework: Take a book out of the (class) library or find a book at home. Compare the layout with "Tuesdays with Morrie". What are the differences? What are the similarities? Write all your observations down...
