The 20 enjoyable, interactive classroom activities that are included will help your students understand the text in amusing ways. Fun Classroom Activities include group projects, games, critical thinking activities, brainstorming sessions, writing poems, drawing or sketching, and more that will allow your students to interact with each other, be creative, and ultimately grasp key concepts from the text by "doing" rather than simply studying.

1. Introducing People Of Significance

Each student will be assigned the role of a significant individual from "The Autobiography of Martin Luther King, Jr." Then, while in the role of that individual, they are to introduce themselves to the class, provide any additional background they have learned when possible, and then conclude by introducing the next student while still in their character's role. This will continue until all students have introduced their assigned individuals.
