Fun Classroom Activities
The 20 enjoyable, interactive classroom activities that are included will help your students understand the text in amusing ways. Fun Classroom Activities include group projects, games, critical thinking activities, brainstorming sessions, writing poems, drawing or sketching, and more that will allow your students to interact with each other, be creative, and ultimately grasp key concepts from the text by "doing" rather than simply studying.
1. Welcome to the Club
Students will create a visual representation of the Club based on Orwell's descriptions. Visuals can be drawings, 3-D models or staged photographs. Students will present these visuals to the class, explaining their choices.
2. Flory's Faces
Students will create two visual images of John Flory: one image representing his inner self, beliefs, and values, and one representing the image he presents to others. Students will be prepared to explain their choices to the class.
