Object Descriptions
This section provides a short description of all the major objects in the book. This can be printed out as a study guide for students, used as a "key" for leading a class discussion, or you can jump to the quiz/homework section to find worksheets that incorporate these descriptions into a variety of question formats.
Objects
CERN - This is the world's largest particle physics laboratory.
Particles - These are a generic term for molecules, atoms, protons, neutrons, electrons and quarks.
The Universe - This is a complex structure studied by physicists on a large and small scale.
The Solar System - This is home to earth and consists of planets that orbit the sun according to the laws of gravity.
Strings - These are linear or circular bits of vibrating energy.
Mathematics - This is the language of science, with calculus being a branch of study.
