Summary

In “Friday, February 10: Minus Two Days,” Jack hoped Gabe had made a record of the exploit he had found, and decided to try to find that information next. To do that, she needed to either get Gabe’s phone, which was in police custody, or the code for it. Jeff was the only person who could help her get the code. When Jack called Jeff, Jeff agreed to help, but said he would only give her the code in person. She agreed to meet him at Piccadilly Circus.

Later, Jack watched as Jeff walked across the street toward their meeting place. Jack heard Jeff’s amusement as he said hello and then asked, “Well, well, well, what do we have here” (270). Jack saw Jeff pull out the handcuffs too late. She could not cry...
