Summary

In Chapter 25, Jayne and Patrick go to breakfast at a usual diner of his. Jayne attempts to make it look like she has eaten more of her food than she has, observing that popping the yolks of the eggs helps with this. She reflects on how mediocre her sex life up until this point has been. Back at Patrick’s apartment, she tries to initiate sex but he stops her. He offers to call a car for her but she tells him that she loves the subway, hoping that this will suggest she is easygoing and low-maintenance.

In Chapter 26, Jayne returns to June’s apartment, where her sister appears to be on her way out. June claims she is meeting with an old client, but Jayne follows her and finds she is actually on her way to a medical appointment. Jayne confronts June...
