Chapters 4 and 5 Summary

Chapter 4 - As the seasons change from winter to spring, Connie is quietly overjoyed when Sybil, a friend from her previous session in the institution, returns (see "Characters"). As Connie and Sybil renew their friendship (but carefully, so as not to raise too much suspicion), they become aware that something is changing on the ward; a new doctor is coming in to look over the patients. Eventually Connie is chosen over Sybil to participate in what Sybil believes to be an experiment of some kind and is taken to a new ward - G-2.
