Summary

Chapter 7

Morgan senses Beck’s pain and rushes to his side where she openly confronts Dawn. Dawn accuses Beck of dating Morgan. To protect Morgan, Beck makes it clear that he does not consider Morgan his type. Morgan is wounded by this and later has trouble letting it go even as she continues to stand up for Beck against Dawn. Beck drives Dawn back to the school and tries to draw her out, but he can see that she is angry. Finally, he tells her that they cannot see one another again. However, before she goes, Beck asks for a kiss. Both are blown away by the kiss.

Chapter 8

Noah, Dawn’s brother, drives her home from the boardwalk, trying to calm her after her confrontation with Beck. When Dawn arrives at her dorm, she hears a voice speaking to her. Dawn answers...
