Summary

Returning to Dom’s perspective, he feels certain that Rowan is lying to him but does not know why or what about. Dom speaks to Raff who informs him Rowan seemed worried and surprised when she heard that the researchers had all left the island. Dom is concerned by this. Dom reflects that they just need to hold everything together until the ship comes to collect them in six weeks. The narration switches back to Rowan, who makes her way haltingly towards the research base despite her injuries. Once there, she finds it abandoned, as Raff had said it was. She sees a photograph of the research base team leader, Hank Jones. She takes the photograph and puts it in her pocket.
