Seth

Seth is one of the main characters and one of the principal narrators of the story. He is an introverted Caucasian boy in his early twenties, and he is passionate about music and audio engineering. Despite his introversion, he bonds with Carter in college over their shared love of music. After college, Seth and Carter move to an apartment in New York City. Because Carter is wealthy, Seth allows Carter to pay for rent and other essentials. Together, Seth and Carter accidentally re-create Charlie Shaw’s Graveyard Blues song, not realizing that the song is not original to them. After Carter is mysteriously beaten into a coma, Seth speaks with Jim, the only person who seems to know anything about Charlie Shaw. Jim warns Seth that Shaw is a dangerous and mysterious figure.
