Summary

In Chapter 13, Emily went back to LA and visited Miles for ten days, until he flew back to Hong Kong. She got a phone call from Miranda Priestly, who asked Emily to come back and organize the Met Ball. Emily again refused, and Miranda hung up on her. Emily went online and saw that Ashley had added her on Facebook, and discovered that she was friends with Alistair.

Chapter 14 marks the start of Part 2. Emily took Miriam shopping for a new dress for her birthday. Miriam went to meet Paul and he thought she looked beautiful. They argued at dinner and Miriam suspected he was lying about who he was texting. They went back to their hotel room and Miriam set up the body paint, but Paul was too tired.
