Bisnaga

Bisnaga is the novel's primary narrative setting. Bisnaga is the name of the kingdom that Pampa Kampana helps to birth. It is also the realm that the goddess prophesies will arise from the ashes where Pampa's mother died.

Bisnaga is grown from a satchel of magical seeds that Pampa gives the brothers Hukka and Bukka. After they establish Bisnaga, Pampa joins them in the new city. She helps to give Bisnaga further life and dimension, by whispering histories into its people's dreams.

Throughout her prolonged life, Pampa devotes herself entirely to Bisnaga. Although she cannot control its kings, its people, or its political evolutions, she is loyal to this place before everyone and everything else. She is indeed Bisnaga's matriarch, although often unrecognized as such.

From beginning to end, Victory City traces the rise and fall of this fantastical empire.
