Summary

In Chapter Seven, Vera considers her three suspects - Riki, Sana, and the mysterious woman with child. She calls Tilly about the flash drive and admonishes him for not coming home for dinner. He tells her to not plug it in- which she pretends to not have already done- and return it to the police. He hangs up and, after sending a text reminding him to look for a girlfriend, Vera hides the flash drive and takes some tea to Alex’s house. She casually mentions the potential murder and promises to keep bringing him tea. Yet, when she leaves, she sees a man outside her shop; the same one who she found dead.

Chapter Eight shifts to Marshall's twin brother, Oliver, as Vera proudly introduces herself and the teahouse. As she invites him in, Oliver thinks of when his mother died...
