Summary

Chapter Nineteen

The next day, Bob, Joey and Tommy discussed what to do about the Rat. Tommy, who was a lawyer, said the cops would call in Social Services which would take her to a children’s home. Joey said they’d go get her and take her and Bob back to Canada. Tommy said it wouldn’t be easy to take her out of the home. Bob felt the Rat was safe at the police station. She was probably joking around with them and making friends. But he did worry about what would happen if she had a convulsion or if she escaped. He also wondered if he should turn himself in. Tommy told Bob that it wasn’t time to worry yet. Rat had her phone with her. Bob was anxiously awaiting word from her.
