Chapter 18 Summary

James' plan to sneak into the hospital went off without a hitch and he eased himself into Hugo's room unnoticed. Hugo was awake when he came in and was more than a little annoyed at the intrusion and wanted to know why James had been following him around all the time. James told him that he had just wanted to speak with him again, that he had felt awful about the book and wanted to let him know. Actually, Hugo had thought it was good work and had taken no offense.
