Point of View

"Under The Never Sky" by Veronica Rossi is written from the first person perspective of the two main characters - Aria and Peregrine. The story opens from Aria's perspective. The first two chapters describe the events that precipitate Aria's summary eviction from the Pod where she had lived her entire life. The eviction comes on the heels of a stunt pulled by Consul Hess's own son, and taped by Aria as he and his friends built and lit a fire that inevitably killed all but Soren and Aria. In chapters three and four, Peregrine is introduced. He had gone in search of medicine for his young nephew Talon who will die without treatment. He returns to the Tide compound where his brother is the Blood Lord after rescuing Aria from Soren who surely meant to kill her. From here on, the chapters alternate mostly from Aria...
