Summary

In Chapter 4, “And just twenty-four hours before that…,” the day before meeting up with Aria, Neon was reviewing the videos he had taken for the yearbook in his bedroom while trying to ignore Denzel Jeremy Washington’s barking. For the videos, he asked his classmates what three words they would use to describe high school. The yearbook club advisor Mr. Sanchez has let Neon, Aria, and their friends do an online yearbook this year. To distract himself from his English homework, Neon tried to decide what three words he would use for his video.

Nat knocked on Neon’s door. He asked for her help understanding The Canterbury Tales but she insisted she could not “remember everything from high school” (62). Instead, she told him about the door knocker she was working on for Aria’s door room. Neon’s family owns Wednesday’s Door...
