Summary

In “Chapter 43”, Reid received a text from Whit telling him his mother had come home. Reid was angry at his mother and went to his room when he got home. When she came to talk to him she told him about Iris’ family and that they were trying to find Iris’ father. Reid told her he was angry at her as she did not appreciate who he was. He was surprised by her new manner which appeared more confident. He realized that she did understand him and that she had not been able to express it before due to her own issues.

In “Chapter 44” Whit was nervous about talking to Suzanne. Suzanne told him she had a plan to open up a school for the medicinal uses of plants at the building she had told him about, near Iris’ cabin. Whit worried about...
