Summary

In Chapter 7, Faye is going to get more cement with the foreman, Tony. He is an immigrant from Albania and one can understand him when he speaks English, but he makes mistakes. Faye corrects him and he tells her that his daughter is very good in English, but does not know Albanian. The family returns to their home country every few months, but it is not good for Tony’s wife. She has not integrated and since she does not speak English, she cannot talk to her daughter. They see another driver who communicates with Tony from his car. Tony talks about his partner, Pavel, who wants to go back home because he is homesick, but Tony encourages him to stay and start a business with him and his brother.
