Chapter 21 Summary
Kara Lynn wants to go to her father's club to play tennis, so Keyes has to tag along. When she informs him he will have to play her on the court, he is upset and embarrassed, but has no choice. He is beaten badly, and, in addition, his clothes make him look far inferior to anyone there. However, Kara Lynn seems to like being with him and insists he hold hands with her as they leave. As they do, Keyes spots Bernal sitting on the fender of a Cadillac near Kara Lynn's Volkswagen. Keyes smacks him a couple times with her dad's tennis racquet, and they leave to find a phone to call Al Garcia.
