Turnips

Lov stops by the Lester home with a bag of turnips in order to ask Jeeter Lester about his wife, Pearl Lester Bensey. However, Lov is distracted by Ellie May and Jeeter steals the entire bag of turnips, eating most of them himself.

Snuff

Ada begs Jeeter to buy some snuff so that she will not feel so hungry without food.

Corn Crib

Jeeter has a fear that a rat will get into his coffin if his family locks it in the corn crib, like what happened to his daddy, so he makes everyone promise they will not put him in the corn crib. It turns out there will be no reason to place Jeeter's body in the corn crib.

Blackjack

Jeeter attempts to sell blackjack, hard oak wood, as fire wood, but it does not burn well and no one will buy it.
