Chapters 21-25 Summary

In Chapter 21, the doctor removes Andrew's cast and instructs him to use it often in order to rebuild his strength. Andrew quickly returns to the team, but finds himself banished to guard. The coach tells Andrew that he has to rebuild his strength in order to be returned to forward. When they play their next game, Andrew finds himself stuck on the bench and forced to watch Bennie take the team to victory. Again Andrew writes an article that downplays Bennie's effort. Over the next few weeks, Andrew again finds himself on the backburner. Mrs. Pickens tells Andrew he is a good writer, but that he needs to learn to be more accurate and less subjective.
