Summary

Lina hopes that Aidan is as in love with meeting her at the river as she is with him. On the same day that she obtains her separation from Ed she is eager to see Aidan. Curiously, she felt a desire for Ed as soon as they were not together anymore. On her way to the river, she is pulled over by a police officer for speeding, and her irrational feelings make her also feel a sort of desire for this man because he seems to be the type of man who could take care of a woman. Even as Lina drives, she knows inside that Aidan does not want to see her nearly as desperately as she wants to see him. She thinks about the second time that they saw each other at the river.
