Summary

The next chapter is told from the perspective of Nell. She remembered a letter that had been read at the event celebrating Phil’s work, which had been attended by Carmel, Ronan, Imelda, and Phil’s second wife Connie. Nell asked Imelda to send her a photograph of the letter and she did. Nell considered its contents, which focused on how special and all-consuming the love between Phil and Terry had been.
