The Village

Ned lives in the village as a child where his father is a woodcutter, and his mother is a witch. There is a bridge and a stone arch at the entrance of the village, seen when the queen's carriage passes over this on the way into the village. There are several shops here, including the shop where Ned purchases writing supplies for his mother. The village has quite a few homes. The forest is nearby as well as the Great River.

The Deadly Forest

The forest is where Aine and her father live after her mother's death. The forest was the childhood home of her father, and this is how he knew where to find the little cottage that Aine makes into a comfortable home.
