Summary

In Chapter 43, Karen explained to Tom that she had not invited him for coffee because she thought he had a story she could use. She also said she did not plan to use what Tom had told her in any of her stories. Karen suggested that they meet up for drinks that evening but Tom said he might have trouble finding a babysitter. After she left, however, he considered his options and sent two text messages.
