Chapter 2 Summary

Reacher makes the 58-mile drive from New York City to his home in Garrison. When he arrives in his driveway, lights from vehicles pop on and surround him. A lady walks up to his car window, knocks on it and shows him her badge. It's the same woman from the restaurant couple that occupied the other table. Reacher sees that one of the men rushing to surround his car is the man she was with at Mastrano's.

With a gun to his head, the woman moves Reacher to one of the federal vehicles. The man produces a search warrant for Reacher's house. As the woman holds the gun to Reacher's head, she still hasn't handcuffed him. She asks him if he wants to know what this is about. Reacher knows it is not about the thugs he just took care of, so it has to be something...
