A White Horse by Thom Jones Summary

A White Horse is the story of Ad Magic, a Midwesterner in India, who has epileptic fits in which he sees certain visions. He does not know his history, though he has glimpses of it, and does not know how he ends up in certain places. The story goes back and forth between these visions and reality, often blurring the line between the two. The story opens on a bus, which has a flat tire. There, Ad Magic gets off the bus and goes towards the sea. Later, he is on the beach, where he sees a dying horse who is obviously struggling. He tries to find a veterinarian to help, but eventually has to make do with a doctor, whom he pays a huge amount of money to cure the horse. Finally...
