Annie

Annie is the main character in the story and the perspective will come entirely from her. Annie is only six years old when the story begins. Her family refuses to go to a work camp or concentration camp and they live in their house until it becomes clear that they are going to be taken away if they remain there. By the time that Annie goes into hiding she has already turned nine. When Annie first hears about Hitler and the things that are going on in the war Annie has a very childlike reaction to the horrible events that are beginning to take place.
