Apollo

Apollo is the former sun god who was turned into a teenage human by his father, Zeus. His human name, Lester, is used only by his enemies, though Apollo himself uses it when lamenting his situation. It is revealed early on that Apollo was sent to rescue the five Oracles from the evil Triumvirate. Many of these Oracles Apollo has a personal connection with, as shown by his memories of the Sibyl and mentions of two other Oracles he has already saved. And while Apollo is frustrated as his exile, he begins to wonder if Zeus was right to punish him in this way. By the end of the novel, Apollo accepts that he must remember his experience as a human once he returns to godhood, and decides he will continue fighting, both to return to godhood and to save his friends.
