Manhattan

Manhattan is one of New York City’s five boroughs, and it is the oldest. It is where Apollo is plummeted to Earth, landing in a garbage dumpster. It is in Manhattan that Apollo must first deal with the pains of being human and where he is saved by Meg from Mike and Cade. It is in Manhattan that Apollo and Meg seek out Percy to take them to Long Island.

Camp Half-Blood

Camp Half-Blood symbolizes hope for Apollo. Located on the north shore of Long Island and shielded from the view of ordinary human beings, the camp is run by Greek demigods and mythical creatures. The camp receives teenage demigod students who receive instruction on everything from combat to music. Apollo hopes the camp will help him gain reentry to Olympus, but he later comes to realize the camp must be saved rather than used. Apollo himself...
