Ed

Ed Morgan is one of the two MBI (Mississippi Bureau of Investigation) detectives assigned to a case in Money, Mississippi in which one of two bodies found at a murder scene has disappeared. Ed, along with his fellow detective Jim Davis, finds himself mired in a deeper investigation upon arriving in Money, as more murders that appear to be connected to the first are committed in quick succession.

Ed has a wife and daughter, and he occasionally alludes self-deprecatingly to the toll that the investigation is taking on his marriage. His unselfconscious and practical nature serves as the basis for teasing and jokes from Jim, who makes fun of Ed’s car for being outdated and unattractive and also urges Ed to lose weight.
