Part 2, Once Out of Nature: Chapters 29-33 Summary

Chapter 29. Lestat returns to New Orleans where he arranges to restore the rooms he once shared with Claudia and Louis to their former glory. Then Lestat tours his beloved city, wondering if all the other vampires have truly abandoned him now.

Chapter 30. Lestat travels the entire world, letting all the vampires know he has returned.

Chapter 31. While Lestat sits in his beloved cathedral, Louis comes to him. Lestat and Louis speak for some time. Lestat demands to know why Louis loves him and if Louis would have eventually relented and made Lestat's new mortal body a vampire. Louis claims he cannot honestly answer, and then demands to know if Lestat could condemn another soul to their existence.

Chapter 32. Lestat claims the story should have ended there, but does not.
