Part 3, He Who Walks On All Fours: Chapters 56-62 and Epilogue, Chapter 63 Summary

In chapter fifty-six, D'Agosta and his group continue through the deepening water as Cuthbert confronts the creature and begs it not to kill him. Cuthbert is spared, but Rickman and Wright are killed. The SWAT team comes into Wright's office and attacked storeroom where they are killed as well. Coffey orders the rest of the SWAT team out of the museum. Coffey tries to speak to Cuthbert, but he has been driven insane.
