Part 3, He Who Walks On All Fours: Chapters 42-48 Summary

In chapter forty-two, Smithback arrives at the party and makes a beeline for the refreshment table as he watches the rich and famous fill the room. D'Agosta gives his men direct orders to keep the only door open on the exhibition clear when it is opened. The officer in the computer room becomes nervous when a noise begins to sound in the electrical room.

In chapter forty-three, Margo pushes Dr. Frock into the Hall of the Heavens in an attempt to stop the party. However, no one will listen to them, even Kawakita.
