Chapters 5 and 6 Summary

In Chapter Five, Temple continues to travel and encounters a man walking with an old woman in his arms. She's dead but Temple knows she can't have been dead long or she'd have become a zombie. There is a large group of zombies following them and Temple stops and points out he's "collecting quite a crowd." She says he's going to be in trouble soon but the man barely reacts and Temple realizes he's mentally retarded. She calls him "dummy" but doesn't feel she can just go off and leave him. She pulls a little distance in front of him and stops the car. She sets up with her rifle and begins picking off the zombies that are following him. She finishes off the rest with her knife and is going to leave him there but can't bring herself to do...
