Readjustments Stacy Faces After Waking From Coma

The most important theme in "The Other Side of Dark" is the changes that Stacy faces when she wakes from her four-year coma, including the need to grow up suddenly as she is now seventeen years old instead of thirteen as she feels. Stacy's life is turned upside-down when she wakes from a four-year-long coma caused by being shot.
