Bob

Bob is the narrator and main character of the novel. He is an anthropomorphized mutt who most closely resembles a Chihuahua and a papillon. He is a very small dog, but he comes with a ton of attitude. He talks like a streetwise tough guy who does not care about anything but himself, but his actions prove that he is actually a dog who deeply loves those closest to him.

Bob was born under a porch with five other siblings. He spent a few days with them and his mother, but then the man that owned his family took Bob and all the other puppies into his truck. He drove onto the highway and threw all the puppies out his window, one at a time.
