Summary

Bob tells the animals to get as high as they can in their cages as the water begins to flood up toward them. Bob tells Boss to get up on his back when he tells her to. She says no, but he begs her. He says he needs to make up to her the fact that he did not save her. Boss laughs and says they were both puppies, so neither of them could have saved the other. She tells him there is nothing for her to forgive, but says she will forgive him on the condition that he forgives himself. He agrees, and feels very happy and light.
