Potter is going with Renner and Staley to visit The Church of Him in the small town on New Scotland where Potter grew up. They want to see the picture of the Eye and Mote that Potter described earlier in the story. When they see the old holograph, all three men are shocked; the difference is extreme. The priest tells them if they wanted to believe such a chance was a created phenomenon, they are welcome to do so.
