Summary

Chapter 1: “From Hero Back to Zero” starts with Max telling the reader that he did not expect to end up dead in the computer lab with pizza on his butt. A drawing shows Max getting ready for school as he writes that. he says that he is an average kid that wants to be a superhero. His hopelessness is detailed in a picture showing his disappointment. Another picture shows a superhero version of him with an x-ray of bones (representing his knowledge of anatomy) and holding a tube of toothpaste. The next paragraph is crossed out, but says that Max knows he is a little weird, but superheroes are too.
