Rukhsana

Rukhsana is a 17-year-old senior in high school. She lives in Seattle with her parents, who were born in Bangladesh and are still conservative Muslims. Her young brother, Aamir, is the favorite of her parents because he is a boy. However, despite the way Aamir’s parents spoil him he is a loyal brother to Rukhsana and she loves him more than anyone else. Rukhsana is a lesbian and is dating Ariana, who she believes is her soulmate. She met her two best friends, Jen and Rachel, in elementary school, and she spends all her time hanging out with them.
