Summary

In “Chapter 20,” Rukhsana’s parents told her that she has to get engaged before they took her home. Ariana stopped answering Rukhsana’s phone calls. Rukhsana panicked and called Jen, who said she would go to Ariana’s and talk to her. Next, Rukhsana called her brother and told him that her parents were keeping her in Bangladesh until she got engaged. After she got off the phone, Rukhsana confided in Shaila and told her everything. Shaila said she still loved her and promised to help her concoct a plan to get home.
