Summary

In Chapter 16, “Alliance,” Owen realizes that Severn's cruelty and evil actions have created a response from the magical Wizr board. Sinia says she can see much of the past and the future, but cannot tell Owen the details. Revealing what she knows could change Owen's decisions, which could literally change the course of events. Sinia says the original Wizrs gave the magical game board to ambitious men, and the Wizrs continued to survive while those men – and their kingdoms – fell. If Owen now chooses to pledge fealty to Sinia, he will become the white knight, as Roux had been. She says Drew will become the white king.
