Cauldron

The Count is cooked to death in a large cauldron while visiting with the chief of an Amazonian tribe in Africa.

Knife

Desiderio kills Albertina with a simple kitchen knife that she has brought into the eroto-energy generating room at the end of the novel.

Statue

A statue is erected of Desiderio after the war because he is considered a hero who single-handedly ended the war.

Bridge

There is a single, fragile bridge that leads to Dr. Hoffman's castle. Desiderio burns this when he escapes from the castle after killing Dr. Hoffman and Albertina.

Helicopter

Desiderio and Albertina are rescued by a helicopter moments before they are to be shoed like a horse.

Cathedral

There is a cathedral in the capitol city that appears impervious to Dr. Hoffman's machine until the day it burns down. The cathedral is later rebuilt and Desiderio anticipates being buried there.
