Chapters 18-26 Summary

Puerto Williams, 11:45 a.m. McFarlane, Britton, and Glinn go to a local bar to find a man named John Puppup, a local man who is the last of the Yaghan Indians who once populated the area. Puppup is very drunk, so Glinn and his men simply pick him up and take him to the ship.

Rolvaag, 2:50 p.m. The group returns to the Rolvaag and crisis arises immediately as a fog surrounds the ship. A ship is approaching and it apparently has targeted the Rolvaag for attack with its weapon radar. All on the bridge watch as a battleship carrying Comandante Vallenar passes by. It is clearly a threat on Vallenar's part.

Rolvaag, July 13, 6:30 a.m. McFarlane rises early and finds Amira getting sick near the rail. Britton jogs past, warning them a storm is coming. Later in the morning, Glinn...
